Taking My Own Advice; E.H. Anderson Stresses Consistency

When Waco Tribune Herald business editor Bill Teeter called June 14, 2010 to interview me about the launch of Cut Pro Video I was on message. Fortunately, I had spent the day before submitting our press release to several distribution sites nearly a month after the initial distribution. Plus, I had not only written the release myself, I wrote our digital brochure, the copy for the website, created keywords, titles, descriptions for the website. So, needless to say, I am intimately familiar with the messages we want to convey to our target audience. Teeter asked a few questions that Cut Pro Video creative genius Bage Anderson needed to answer, and I suggested I flash Bage into our call, but Teeter said something along the lines of , “That’s not necessary.” But then towards the end of the 30 minute interview, Teeter asked if Bage would call him so he could interview him. Of course I said, “Not a problem; I will make it happen.” And I did, but not before talking to Bage a million miles an hour telling him my answers to Teeter’s questions. Sure, intimately familiar means I have all the messages in my mind, not on paper. Where was our Cut Pro Video Launch key messaging document when I needed it; the document Bage needs to read several times — even use as a cheat sheet — so he can prepare for the interview.
